Some days the things we do seem so small and so insignificant. Washing dishes. Making a call. Sending a card. Saying a prayer for someone who may never know you prayed.
There’s no applause in these. No spotlight. Just the steady rhythm of quiet obedience.
Jesus reminds us that the Father sees what is done behind the scenes — and he rewards it.
You don’t have to be seen by others to be seen by God. He notices every tiny act of love. Every faithful step. Every unadvertised kindness. And in his kingdom, those hidden moments carry eternal weight.
The world tells us to do things big and loud and high-profile. But God says in his still, small voice, “Be faithful in the little things.” And he means it.
Have you ever considered how much of Jesus’ life was lived in obscurity? Thirty years in a carpenter’s home. Humble. Faithful. Consistent. He knew the value of small things.
Today, as you tend to the details of your life, don’t discount those small acts of service. Folding laundry. Listening to a friend. Or simply showing a simple kindness. Remember what it means.
The kingdom of God is built on mustard seeds, not standing ovations.
And your Father sees it all.
“Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” (Matthew 6:6)
